Re: Using the MSP as a PC screen. Thunderbolt with adapter.

Has this been solved yet?

Like many people I am sitting on an expensive adapter I can't use and a feature I want, which I can't use.

I paid thousands for this device.

Re: Using the MSP as a PC screen. Thunderbolt with adapter.

Yeah I would really like to get this working as it is a function I paid for.

This isn't a cheap mobile phone. It is a full-size portable media studio.

Re: Using the MSP as a PC screen. Thunderbolt with adapter.

My cable extension is a 1.1 rated mini displayport cable. Looks like I need a 1.2

If I knew this weeks ago I could have been working the way I want to and get a refund on my 1.1 cable.

So let me get this right, I don't need any new BIOS update coming I just need to a 1.2 not a 1.1 cable?

Re: MSP 16 with external monitor blanks out

I'd like to be able to use my Wacom MSP with my PC someday also. My old Bamboo is shot and my workflow demands a tablet I can paint with while going back and forth between that and my PC. So now I have to prepare everything on my PC first and get that work done and then move to the MSP and then back...

Re: Using the MSP as a PC screen. Thunderbolt with adapter.

I have ran all the updates including the Bios update which locked me completely out of my MSP and I had to re-install everything again.

My current driver is 6.3.30-6

So does that mean I can't use the Desktop mode until a new Bios update gets released?

Re: Using the MSP as a PC screen. Thunderbolt with adapter.

I got a PremiumCord Mini DisplayPort - DVI cable.
I plug it directly into my MB of my PC and the other end into the wacom adapter so I am not using that cable that came with it.
Plugged in the USB to my Windows 10 PC.
MSP doesn't respond.

Using the MSP as a PC screen. Thunderbolt with adapter.

I have the Wacom adapter.
It has a USB-c out to USB which I can plug into my HUB or MB.
However, I believe I am also supposed to use the Thunderbolt?
My MB doesn't have a thunderbolt in, just a DVI.
So what are the solutions to this if I understand it correctly?
Using Windows 10.

Re: Password not working after Bios update

So I got the cable and it didn't recognize a USB and since my work was backed up I went for a reset. There is no doubt the bios screwed up something with that error message. PIN and Password and Fingerprints were wiped. Maybe someone else can get the USB password recovery option working but not I. S...

Re: Password not working after Bios update

It has an option to use a USB-C to change my password on the Windows login screen. So I have ordered up the Wacom adapter to see if using this method will work.
