Re: Cintiq Pro 16 inch latency of several centimeters

This degree of lag is not something that I will get used to, and way below the standards I've been using for the last year. The entire situation is just unacceptable. Along with the other problems, the degree to which it impedes the professional workflow output is so great that the more likely decis...

Re: Cintiq Pro 16 inch latency of several centimeters

After seeing Tom Brancroft's review of cheaper non-Pro 16" demonstrating much less lag, I asked another artist to video tape his non-pro 16" and shockingly it had way less visible lag than my Pro 16 as well. Now I don't know what to think about this whole debacle. It's been about 3 weeks s...

As an extra point of reference, here is the ergonomics page at apple: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205655

But, honestly there is nothing unique on there that isn't typical or common sense.

Sigh, the matte screen protector does not help, it massively makes it worse.

Re: Where can I get good ergonomic advice for working with Cintiqs?

I was more hinting at reaching out to those that have known names in the industry via email. I used to work at studio that did concept art for feature films, and that's how I learned who is who in the industry. When it comes to the people who have been around a long time and are at that higher level...

Re: Removing the Anti-Glare/Etched Glass coating on Cintiq Pro 16"

I don't have a camera on me at the moment, but as I understand the phenomena it comes from the light bending at angles through the bumpy etched glass layer, so that ever pixel is behind a million bumpy prisms that create color aberration, and as you move your head, the angle changes creating a shimm...

Re: Where can I get good ergonomic advice for working with Cintiqs?

I actually only started drawing sincerely within the last year (I actually spent most of my life as a developer), so that should paint a picture of how fast you can develop physical problems when drawing all day every day, and how important it is to constantly assess and adapt your workflow habits e...

Re: Removing the Anti-Glare/Etched Glass coating on Cintiq Pro 16"

Do you mean that a matte screen protector would cancel out the rainbow grainy shimmering that comes from the etched glass?

I found this on amazon, but it has no reviews: https://www.amazon.com/Screen-Protector ... B074NYWFN9

Re: Where can I get good ergonomic advice for working with Cintiqs?

I bought the $99 stand for the Pro 16, and I thought it looked like it was decently designed, but I have to say it's a bit lacking as my cintiq is constantly subtly sliding back in such a way that it is rotating to the left, and I constantly have to pick it up and reposition. I'm thinking I will hav...

Removing the Anti-Glare/Etched Glass coating on Cintiq Pro 16"

If I take an Xacto knife to the corners, will the anti-glare/etched glass come off? The coating on the Cintiq is like dipping your eyes in acid. I don't care about the surface feeling like paper. So can someone at wacom confirm if it will come off if I try really hard, and about how thick is that la...
