Re: Cintiq24pro 8 bit only???
Hi, sorry for the late reply, the wife made me take some time away from my computer (aka holidays :-) Anyway, yep, plenty of difference between my Nec (true 10bit display) and the cintiq 24 pro. Then again, the Nec costs more than the cintiq, and it's "only" a display. It's really obvious ...

Re: Cintiq24pro 8 bit only???
At least this works fine for me. 1) Go to Nvidia Control pannel 2) Use Nvidia Color settings and change the color depth. 3) Apply. Congratulations you did it! 4) No clue if this helps. Re: Cintiq24pro 8 bit only???
Please have a look at the specs: https://www.wacom.com/en-gb/products/pen-displays/wacom-cintiq-pro-24#Specifications Does this help already? And please ensure that the connection is supporting the resolution and color range - probably DisplayPort is the best choice (depending on your other hardwar...

Re: Opaque mode key missing?
I mean, do you, other cintiq pro (non touch version) users, have that key available to you on the top right angle of your Cintiq???
If yes, what firmware?
If no, then how do you activate Opaque mode (panel Off, but pen active surface On)?
Thanx

Re: Cintiq24pro 8 bit only???
It is far from clear indeed... Never in their communication do they clearly mention 10bit. They talk about 1.07 billion colors (which is also feasable with 8bit+FRC). Nor do they talk about hardware calibration, or other things that are of interest for color conscious users. I mean, I have a Quadro ...

Opaque mode key missing?
Hi; I see everywhere on the docs that it's possible to use the cintiq pro as a a normal tablet (essentially switching off the panel while still being able to use the pen on the monitor) by enabling "Opaque mode", which should be activated by pressing one of the few screen keys that light u...

Cintiq24pro 8 bit only???
Hi, I find it surprising that Windows 10 lists the cintiq 24PRO as an 8 bit monitor only, despite the claim by wacom that it is a 10bit panel capable of displaying 1 billion colors (10bit). Windows lists my other monitors (which are 10 bit capable) as (duh) 10 bit monitors. See attached screenshot.....
