When the tablet detects the finetip, it switches to paper mode, starts recording strokes in the tablet memory and does not move the screen pointer - otherwise you would have unwanted clicks and selections on the desktop while concentrating on the paper. Exception is Livemode within the Inkspace app,...

When you disconnect the cable, switch the tablet on and try to pair the tablet and press the touchring middle button, the LED starts flashing blue ? But the Mac cannot see it ? Best is test with another computer (that is not too old and supports BT 4.0 at least). If LED is not flashing or connection...

Did you try to reset the driver and then turn off 'Use Windows Ink' in the tablet driver ? With the recent Windows update Microsoft has changed several Windows Ink functions f.e. for scrolling with touch/pen. Turning off Windows Ink avoids that.

If possible test the tablet on another computer - just to be sure - and if the problem remains, it looks like an issue in the hardware. Then we need te unit for repair. Contact customer care for the best handling in your region.

If possible try to connect the tablet with another cable. Check for problems in devic manager. Open Wacom Desktop Center -> Backup Settings -> Reset settings. That should get the tablet detected. If not, contact Wacom customer support.

The 5.3.5 driver is for Bamboo tablets and not Intuos. The latest Windows driver for Intuos tablets is 6.3.25-5. - (If you need the 5.3.5 driver, you can rename the extension to .ZIP and unpack it first, then start the extracted setup.exe file. Works fine here.)
