Intuos PRO and PSCC issue

Postby TheNemus » Tue 23. Apr 2019, 13:31

Hi guys,

here's my problem: usually while I'm drawing in PSCC my pen stops working well. Instead of drawing following my hand movements, it simply draws a straight line from where I start drawing to where I stop. Basically, it draws a geometrical chord. The only way I can temporarily solve this is tapping outside PS.
I have Intuos pro small size with updated driver, win10 e PS CC 2018.

Any idea?
Thank you

Hello and welcome.

The way you describe the issue seems like you are having issues with Windows Ink. Have you tried the steps here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2398372 ?

Thank you,

unluckily I've already disabled 'windows ink' option and set PSUserConfig.txt file with 'UseSystemStylus 0'. Those solved a lot of issues, but not this one...

Then something might be triggering the Shift Key on it's own. Not sure if Hardware or Software.
Do you have any ExpressKeys set to trigger the "Shift" modifier? Can you check in the Driver Diagnostics (Open driver settigns, click on "About" and then "Diagnose") check if buttons are being pressed when they shouldn't?

Sorry to wake up an old topic, but the problem still excist. The only solution that I found was the use of an old driver for my tabet. I used both a Cintiq 13HD and a Cintiq Pro 16 and both had the same problem. Since they use the same driver I would say it is not a tablet issue with Photoshop. I also use Clip Studio Pro and never had the same problem when using the laters wacom driver.

The driver I use that doesn't give me the problem is: 6.3.30-6

You can download the driver here: https://support.wacom.asia/en/content/w ... ver-6330-6

Hi,

Did you also use the solution to disable Windows Ink?

If you already tried all the solutions suggested previously, I would also suggest you to reset PS settings. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

Thank you for replying!

I forgot to try that. I just updated the driver to the latest version and turned windows ink off. But I almost immidiately encountered the problem so that dit not help. I have reset te preferences in Photoshop like you suggested and for now the problem is gone. I'll try it for a few days and update when I encounter the problem again or when it is fully gone.

I have been working with this solution for a few days but today the problem resurfaced with a vengeance. For a few days I had no problem at all and today every other stroke is a staight line.

I do have the idea that it happens right after panning. I pan a lot on my drawings (CAD habbit). I use the front button on the pen to pan (back is for rightclick) and I read somewhere that you can change the button from pan/scroll to button press "space". This however also dit not solve the problem.

For as far as I know the only solution to the problem is rolling back the driver.
