Im going to be in the market for a PC very soon. My budget is 2500 Euros. Originally I was set of going a desktop PC route, pick up a decent Pen Display tablet, and then something like a Galaxy Tab A tablet. The more I think about it, I think it would be fantastic if I could start with a 2-in-1 that's designed for artist, having a Windows OS with Photoshop would be great, then save up more for an actual desktop down the line. But here is my concern:
About a year and a half ago, I purchased a Dell 2-In-1. The thing was only $400 USD, but I definitely go what I paid for... which is Crap. The thing is ridiculously slow and made me rethink a 2-in-1 option. But when I was doing research and came across the Wacom Studio Pro 13/16, at the price it was, I started considering it a strong possible choice for a 2-in-1. The fact that I could use this instead having to carry around a tablet/laptop, sketchbook, AND the pens/pencils would be amazing.
My question:
Does anyone have any thoughts as to the quality and speed of the Wacom Studio Pro 13/16 in performance as a PC for functions like iTunes, watching movies, Word, Excel, Photoshop, basic gaming, and it's performance as a sketchbook for artist? Does it allow use of programs like Adobe Audition, or even basic video editing tasks with minimal lag? I'm looking for the a product that will fall under the "Great!!" category.

My opinion is I don't think it's a smart move at this point in time - You'd be paying a lot for a processor, ram etc. which are all outdated now (and weren't even the most up to date at launch). Battery life isn't great, and if you want it to stay snappy off the charger then high performance mode needs to be enabled (for video / Photoshop work at any rate).
HP Have the ZBook X2 on the way, which uses Wacom tech in the pen, and has more up to date hardware, but I can't speak to how good / portable it is since I haven't used one.
If you want a great digital sketchbook with portability and a long battery life then you'll need look elsewhere if you catch my drift.... plus Clip Studio Paint and Procreate are fantastic if you don't *need* Photoshop.

No worries, YMMV depending on your priorities - try them out if you can. I also think Lenovo have some Wacom convertibles, but I don't know if it's the "penabled" (consumer) tech or something fancier like the tech used in Cintiqs / X2. It'll be interesting to see how the pen in the X2 stacks up against the most recent Cintiqs.

That HP ZBook X2 looks really nice. It even has newer updated graphics than the wacom. Thats on my radar for sure.
