Eraser on pro pen cursor problem

Postby mem5000 » Mon 9. Jan 2017, 19:26

this is a new problem that started since the update...
when i flip my pro pen over to erase, the cursor is too far under the eraser... i have to lean over to look under my eraser to see where it's erasing. Using an older pen, it doesn't do this.
Not a big deal, but i prefer the new stylus the MSP came with... it's lighter and feels better.
anyone else see this?

Yes, I get the cursor more to the right for the eraser.

Wacom's been aware of this since december, however no updates have been put out yet, it does work w/ older pens perfectly though so its specific to just the pro pen. No idea why they haven't included it in the recent few updates. I set one of the pen buttons to erase for the time being.

Mobile studio pro 16
intel i7 65667u
Windows 10 pro

does the same thing in photoshop 6
clip studio paint pro

and for that matter, the windows desktop. i can flip my pen over and use the erase, and it puts the cursor directly under the eraser nub thing.... where i can't see it without leaning way over.

Just so you know Wacom has been aware of the issue since December, (based on several emails) and we are still awaiting them to fix it. Its a calibration issue that is only with the Pro Pen 2's. The last 2 updates haven't been much for the MSP since the release of the Mobile pro, however the next driver update hopefully should address this.

For now best recommended solution I can give you is to set the lower button on your pen to erase.

Ya, i have been using an older stylus to get by. Too used to my thumb rocker buttons being mapped to my brush size :T

Yeah worst part is their recent driver update states " NO KNOWN ISSUES " which is complete BS since there are many issues being reported that they state they're aware of via support, so not sure where the disconnect is between the support team and the engineering team.
