is it safe to keep the cable connected to the device or should I unplug it whenever the battery is fully charged?

will constant charging wear out my battery or does electricity flows straight into the device once the battery is charged?

It is not safe to keep the MSPs connected to power 24/7.
Please disconnect from time to time.

And don't forget: the MSP is a great mobile device - use it for it's purpose :)

When you use the MSP it is of course safe to keep the adapter connected all the time, even if the battery is charged 100%. When not using the tablet for a longer time, at night for instance, it is safer to disconnect the adapter (and shut down the tablet). This also is better for CO2 emission. If you just sometimes use it on the battery, that should be enough to keep the battery condition alright. It is the same as for other laptops or tablets.

How about charging it when the battery is near dead and keep working while it recharges?

Hi all,
the answer from me above is no longer true.
We posted a BIOS update which fixed an issue with the battery management.
After you updated your device to the latest FW, BIOS and driver you can keep it plugged in.

Please check the Wacom Desktop Center for all upgrades mentioned.

Should be safe but I would still recommend unplugging the device and taking it outside from time to time.
