Password not working after Bios update

Postby BatmansTablet » Mon 17. Sep 2018, 19:52

So I updated my Bios on my MobileStudio and I was using fingerprint mostly before. The fingerprint is gone after the bios update and it is asking me for my password. I am using what I think is my password but it keeps rejecting it. You don't need some CAPS and special characters, right? It even shows me my hint which confirms its the password I am giving it. Anyway, it tells me if I want to change my password I need to attach a USB device to the tablet. So I am at a loss as for how I can get back in.

Something went wrong (code: 0x8009002d") when trying to login after the MobileStudio Pro BIOS update.

I am also getting this. The FAQ says use your password. I think you get my dilemma now.

It has an option to use a USB-C to change my password on the Windows login screen. So I have ordered up the Wacom adapter to see if using this method will work.

So I got the cable and it didn't recognize a USB and since my work was backed up I went for a reset.
There is no doubt the bios screwed up something with that error message. PIN and Password and Fingerprints were wiped.
Maybe someone else can get the USB password recovery option working but not I.
So the bios is updated and I installed the latest drivers from the Wacom website and updated everything.
Hold vol up and down as you start up the MSP and you get troubleshooting options to basically do a factory restart and re-install of most of the windows.
Backup your stuff.
Hopefully everything will run smooth from here on in.
