This means that the device will NOT switch to Desktop Mode when connected to a computer through the Wacom Link or any other connection.
I have been banging my head for DAYS trying to understand why I cannot get Desktop Mode to work on my MSP 16 and have finally stumbled across this - is it honestly true that Wacom have disabled a function that *already* required me to buy a £75 Wacom Link adapter and £15 Display Adapter converter? With no suggestion that the firmware update would do this? And no sign of when this functionality will be returned!?

Absolutely furious.

Has this been solved yet?

Like many people I am sitting on an expensive adapter I can't use and a feature I want, which I can't use.

I paid thousands for this device.

I just wanted to chime in that I'm using BIOS InsydeH20 Version MS111 and I am not having any of the problems people have described in this thread. If anyone from Wacom would like to know my system information, I will gladly provide it if it will help narrow down the problem.

Windows 10 is fully updated (as of this posting) on both my MSP16 (512gb model) and my desktop using Wacom driver version 6.3.31-4. (I am now hesitant to update THAT, if it turns out to be the cause of the problem.) I'm using a first-generation Wacom Link device with this after-market miniDP to DP cable (which runs the display at 4K without issue). When I plugged the Link into the MSP, it connected just as it always has. Pen works, touch works, 4K resolution.

Tomorrow, I will have access to a MacBook Pro, so I will test TB3 connectivity and update this post.

Exactly! I wasted half a day trying to diagnose what was going on! >:-(

This really needs to be addressed. I have A MSP16 that I paid $3000 usd for, and I can't use one of it's main functions due to this broken BIOS update that disabled the usage of the Wacom Link completely. I've tried multiple avenues to contact Wacom support, but so far no one has contacted me with a solution. I need to roll back to the old BIOS immediately. It's just crazy this wasn't deeply tested before putting this out to people's machines. I do not want to have to mail this thing to a repair center, wasting even more of my time. Come on Wacom! Put out an official statement on it, so that your customers are at least aware.

Maybe a major graphics site needs to pick up on this news... hmm

Also, I likely have an early revision of the MSP16 512 gb. (There were more than one, evidently)
