Using the MSP as a PC screen. Thunderbolt with adapter.
Re: Using the MSP as a PC screen. Thunderbolt with adapter.
Hi, please insist with customer service. The firmware thing should have been fixed in the meantime so we need to be able to provide you a solution. We were able to help the other forum users as well. You can give me your case reference (CAS-...) if you want.

Your Case #CAS-1154955-P0J2R0 | WACOM
Thank you! I do not want to have to send this into a repair shop for a problem that was caused via software. Hopefully they can send me a bios update utility that can reverse the change!

Alright, it's a little later than "tomorrow" (Nobody had their MacBook with them yesterday...) but I just tested my MSP with a 2017 MBP and it worked flawlessly using a USB-C to C cable.

Re: Using the MSP as a PC screen. Thunderbolt with adapter.
so i guess buying this new wacom link plus was a waste then?
ive tried hooking my MSP 16 to the WLP and then from miniDP to DP into my GTX1070TI, also tried using miniDP to HDMI and also HDMI to HDMI.
My MSP screen is blank, responds to touch but no signal. sometimes all signals to my 2 other minitors are also lost.
what is honestly going on? do the actual forum mods works for wacom or just mod the forums? will no one get a real answer soon?

The Wacom Link Plus is for theWacom Cintiq Pro 13 and 16,not for the MobileStudio Pro.
For the MobileStudio Pro you need to use the standard Wacom Link. This should currently work - https://www.wacom.com/en-us/support?guideTitle=Connecting-the-Wacom-MobileStudio-Pro-as-a-Cintiq-with-the-Wacom-Link&guideId=9b4fe9de-db2d-4b00-93a0-473f6adf12d7

Wacom Link Plus + MSP
so i bought myself a wacom link plus, ive tried hooking up my MSP 16" via MiniDP to DP to my nvidia GTX 1070TI without anything working.
so from my MSP usb c -> WLP -> MiniDP to DP into my PC and USBmicro to USB PC.
also connected my MSP usb c power to the WLP.
ive seen other threads about trying to hookup MSP to a pc, but cannot find if people are trying to directly hook it up or use the WL/WLP.
all i get is a black screen. i can see the GTX 1070TI can host up to 4 monitors.
has anyone else had any luck or anything i can try to get it all working?

Re: Using the MSP as a PC screen. Thunderbolt with adapter.
I've gotten a new Wacom Link sent to me. No change. Windows 10 x64 doesn't recognize the wacom link in the device manager, either on the MobileStudio Pro nor my Windows 10 machine. What's going on??

it blows my mind wacom would bring out a new and improved product that doesnt support the MSP like that.
why a product like the wacom link that supports the cintiq and the msp but the new and improved versions just for the cintiq is just backwards.
