Mobile Studio Pro not working as Citniq

Postby smarkov » Wed 17. Oct 2018, 17:13

Over the last couple of days I've been trying to use my MSP 13' as a Cintiq through USB-C until I finally understood that the hardware for my desktop PC doesn't support DisplayPort alt mode through USB-C. So I decided to solve the issue by using the official adapter.

I got the Wacom Link today. Because my graphics card doesn't have a mini DP port, I used a mini DP to DisplayPort cable to connect the Wacom Link to the PC.

I plugged in the cables and... Nothing happened. I checked Wacom Desktop Center and it said that there is no device connected.

I thought that the issue might be with the 3rd party mini DP - DisplayPort cable, so I thought to check if the MSP will connect to two other laptops that have mini DP ports using the Mini DP cable that came with the Wacom Link. I connected the miniDP and USB to the first laptop and nothing happened. I did the same to the second laptop and, surprise, nothing happened either. This leads me to think there is an issue with the MSP itself not connecting to other devices.

I have all the latest BIOS / firmware and driver updates installed on my MSP, I also have the MSP drivers installed on my PC and the laptops I tested. Everything else about the MSP is working perfectly, it's just that it doesn't want to connect to any other system.

There is already a thread on this topic. Please see: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1843
You mentioned you performed all the firmware and bios updates so this feature is currently disabled. We are working on a fix.
