MSP Firmware update disables fingerprint reader??

Postby tomatogoatee » Fri 19. Oct 2018, 03:13

I just updated my MSP from firmware 7 to 11. (I believe those are the correct numbers.) It gave me a warning to remove my fingerprint and pin prior to update, so I did just that. After the update, I had to use my bitlocker recovery key to get into the tablet and now, when I try to add my fingerprint again, the option isn't there! I now have a message saying Windows Hello isn't compatible with this device.

What happened and how do I fix this?

It does appear to have been the case. It was odd, however, that everything worked fine through numerous reboots until I applied the Wacom BIOS update.
