MSP 16 plugged in not charging

Postby denniscalero » Mon 23. Dec 2019, 21:31

I am really at my wits end with this.

every 2-3 months, and always after a windows update, this goddam thing wont charge.

Ive tried multiple plugs in multiple ports.

Nothing works. I try reinstalling the battery driver. All the normal advice

the only thing that works is to retinstall windows, which works every time.

I would love there to be a solution that doesnt require that

Well this is a Windows issue which affects many laptop users from other brands also - HP, Dell, Lenovo, etc...
See here

Any of the solutions proposed by CNet, Tom's Guide or even Microsoft will probably work.

Thank you. I googled the same stuff months ago.

This time I decided to ride it out and see what happens.

It got down to about 40 then started charging. This is clearly a software issue. And it’s a dumb one.
