Anybody tried altering their video memory in the bios???

This guy has increased his video card memory in BIOS has anybody tried this?. If I switch off the use of the discreet video card in Photoshop (whilst on battery) but have more expanded memory this will mean better performance...whilst still on battery ? yes ?

i did this but honestly im not sure if its helping?

generally performance is fine.
