Hurricane Florence Alert:
A rather large hurricane is set to hit the East Coast of the United States at the end of this week. Because of its size and threat to life & property there have already been significant evacuations in the areas expected to be hit worst. Hopefully things do not turn out as bad, but we will probably see shipping delays to and from that area (our North America distribution center is in Memphis, TN, close to the area).
If you are in the US region and you order something during this period, please see check https://www.ups.com/us/en/service-alerts.page?id=alert1 for possible alerts.

Cintiq Pro 16 some issues

Postby Robobob » Fri 22. Dec 2017, 11:03

Hi there,

I've run into some issues with my new cintiq pro 16 and was wondering if there's a solution.
The eraser end of the stylus is off, it's like floating above the eraser tip so I was wondering if there's a way to calibrate this.
Another thing I'm running into is accidentally touching the onscreen buttons on the top of the tablet and I was wondering if theres a way to turn those off.
Another thing is that the system seems to revert to the Cintiq as a sound output device at startup.
I know i can change this in the sound settings but can't seem to remove the cintiq as a device for sound output.
I have it connected through the wacom link using the thunderbolt cable that came with the tablet.

For the rest very happy with it, would be great if theres a solution to those issues.
I'm working on a Macmini late 2012 running Sierra 10.12.6.

All the best,

Bob

So no one has a reply or any kind of help?
Kind of disappointed not getting any kind of feedback from Wacom.

Is there a solution mainly to calibrating the eraser tip and turning the top buttons on the wacom screen off so one isn't touching those while working, or at least we have the choice of having them active or not?
Are you guys working on a firmware update or something?

Would just be nice to get any kind of reply since I just haven't.

Cheers,

Bob

I would like to be able to disable these buttons also, as I often brush them accidentally when painting 'top down' with my hand. It would be better (for right handed people) if these buttons were on the left side.

I kind of take the lack of a reply as a sign this isnt being taken seriously. I do hope that wacom is working on it shouldn’t be that hard. Even my trusty cintiq 22hd had the option to simply disable buttons if one wanted to. Especially on a smaller screen as the 16 pro this option would be very welcome.
