Dunno how much i would trust the verge, they are reporting that the 27" has quick access buttons instead of the remote, well mine certainly doesn't have and came with the remote, and it was bought in 2015 :)
Waiting for Wacom's official statement before passing judgment

So, Wacom is presenting the new Cintiq Pro 24" an 32" on the CES 2018 ?
We all subscribed to the newsletter at the "It’s time for growth" website?

And we hear nothing for over 6 months ?
(Almost makes you think Wacom doesn't value their customers ;-)

That's not entirely true. I googled last week news for cintiq 24 and 32 pro and came to this post!

Seriously, now you're saying the devices are going under mass production, while we were left with the impressions that
"Early January" the cintiqs will be available. And no footage from the CES, like just one too vague to look into as an example.

Thanks for the newsletter, lol.

That Verge link also says there is a touchless version of the 24". I don't have a ton of faith in Wacom but they can't be THAT stupid to pull that again. Especially in 2018 where every AES, Ntrig device and tablets are touch.

Wacom offers two versions of the Cintiq Pro 24, one for pen and touch and another one without touch, as we see a market for such a version. More information ans detailed specs will be coming - also for the backpack workstation type computer attachable to the 24 or 32 tablets.

I don't use touch because I've never found the transition between touch and pen to be that smooth.

I suggested once that touch be able to reduced to a certain area of the screen and the tech guy seemed actually enthusiastic about the idea but never heard anything about it

When working at a desk I've always found keyboard shortcuts to be faster to change tools, hit modifier keys etc. Instead of looking away from what I'm working on to hunt for a little icon. Even on the Cintiq 16 Pro, I always turn touch off when I'm working since my palm almost always locks or turns off a layer, or hit's something else I'd rather it didn't.

Fingers crossed the delay means that they are actually testing these things properly, I'd rather wait longer for something that works reliably on day one instead of spending a lot of money on something, followed by months of uncertainty waiting for firmware and driver updates to get it working.

All I want to know is if the Cintiq Pro 24 will support full resolution over displayport. Currently no desktop graphics cards have usb-c so it really doesn't make any sense why wacom chose to use it on the cintiq pro 13/16.
