Incompatibility with Moodle / HTML

Postby raphroberts » Wed 14. Feb 2018, 22:27

Hello,

The team I work for were hoping to purchase a bunch of Cintiq tablets (DTK 1651), to use for marking students work at a university.
The problem we have encountered is that the cintiq does not work properly with the Moodle plugin "annotate PDF" (a browser-based solution that allows lecturers to write on PDF files when marking work).

My guess is that the way the input is being captured (via html5/javascript) is not compatible with the tablet.

The problem is that once you start drawing a line, when you lift the pen off the screen it continues to draw. The tablet works fine in other software, just not in the Moodle plugin.

Can you please let me know if there is a workaround, or whether the plugin would need to be updated to use a different means of capturing input?
