Spare part: small crew

Postby PeterKelly » Fri 5. Oct 2018, 18:39

I've been using a 24HD for several years and it's still fine, but I took the opportunity the other day of buying a 27QHD touch, which was second hand but in perfect condition (it looks like it was owned by a business and never used!).

Unfortunately, the small screw that retains the cable cover on the back of the panel is missing. As I do need to lift the Cintiq from one place to another on occasions, I need the panel to stay in place, so the screw is vital.

Unfortunately, asking Wacom to provide one, or even just the specifications of it is like pulling teeth. Why is Wacom support so dreadful? It's just a small screw, for heaven's sake and I can't imagine this is the first one ever to be mislaid.

So, if anyone knows where I might get one, or even those specifications so I can source one myself, I would be grateful. I think it is an 'M4' thread, but I'm wary of the depth and the head looks like it needs to be small.

Well I've just had a reply from Wacom Customer Service, which was as completely useless as always!

I asked if they could provide a replacement, or tell me the specifications. They said they couldn't sell me one.
That's it. No specifications, no suggestions. Nada. Zip. Completely bl**dy useless.

If anyone who owns a 27QHD would be so kind as to measure this little screw and let me know I would be most grateful.
