Cintiq 27QHD Touch Has A Dim Spot

Postby Immitem » Tue 6. Nov 2018, 09:49

Hello there, I bought a used Cintiq 27QHD that was in pretty good condition, earlier this year, but out of the blue I suddenly developed a small spot near the center of the screen where the pixels are dimmer than the surrounding ones. Looking at it through a camera zoom lens I can see that the pixels are still working, just dimmer. It is about the size of one of the stepladder segments on the shaft of the Windows 7 mouse cursor at native resolution, about half a millimeter or less I am guessing.

Is this possibly due to a physical defect or software issue, the logic board going, anybody have a clue and is there anything I can do to fix it? If not then what are my options?

THANKS!

That's definitely not a Sofware issue. Could be a micro dust particle or a dark spot developed with time due to pressure on the screen surface. Can't really tell based on your description. Your best bet is to contact our support and check with them.
