Cintiq Pro 13 - “Device Not Connected”, screen turns on but no pen/touch connection

This has been driving me insane ever since last night when I unboxed my new Cintiq. I know other people have made topics on this, but I really need a straightforward answer because I’m still unsure what the issue is. Do I need to buy a new cable? The display turns on, basically just serving as a separate monitor and nothing else, but there is no actual tablet connection.

I have a Late 2013 MacBook Pro and just upgraded from a Cintiq 13HD.

Are you using any 3rd party adapters or only the cables that came with the tablet? The USB cable that you are using doesn't seem to be the one that comes with the device. Are you using a USB-Hub?
Also, are you on Mojave? If yes, please make sure you installed the latest driver, and that you check the steps here: https://www.wacom.com/en-de/support?guideTitle=Is-there-a-compatible-driver-for-Mac-OS-10.14-Mojave%3F&guideId=d4bced14-ee83-4141-a953-a2d0e39c4946
