Cintiq Pro 16 reverses behavior in ZBrush when switching to Tablet Mode

Postby Gigantoad » Mon 24. Dec 2018, 03:55

My Cintiq Pro 16 reverses behavior in ZBrush 2018.1 when switching to Tablet Mode. Like z add becomes z sub and vice versa. Is this a known bug?

I have not seen this reported yet.
Please confirm:
  • OS version
  • Driver version
  • Steps to reproduce

Found this too: https://www.reddit.com/r/ZBrush/comment ... add_z_sub/

Windows 10 Pro 64bit
latest drivers

To reproduce:

Cintiq in display mode, open ZBrush, sculpt with say ClayBuildup, switch to tablet mode, sculpt again.

There's other strange stuff going on too. When I come back from standby with the Cintiq in tablet mode, I get 2 cursors and completely screwed behavior. Switching back to display mode fixes that. Then switching back to tablet mode again also works, except for the z add which is reversed again.

Thank you. I have forwarded this to the driver team.

Seems that the driver team has been able to reproduce. However, the driver is sending the same information to Zbrush regardless of the configuration and which pen is being used. The driver developers will try to reach out to Pixologic for more details.

Other problem related to tablet mode that have nothing to do with ZBrush. Fairly often when I come back from standby and the Cintiq was/is in tablet mode, the touch "button" doesn't work and I can't enable or disable touch. Going to display mode and back to tablet mode fixes that.

When that happens, was touch enabled or disabled previously? Please open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), go to the details Tab and check if "Wacom_TouchUser.exe" is running.

Doesn't seem to matter. Yes that's running. It has also happened that the pen won't work either and the only thing fixing it is to terminate all Wacom processes including TabletUser and then restart the Wacom Professional Service.

Actually I think what I wrote earlier

There's other strange stuff going on too. When I come back from standby with the Cintiq in tablet mode, I get 2 cursors and completely screwed behavior. Switching back to display mode fixes that. Then switching back to tablet mode again also works, except for the z add which is reversed again.

is probably connected to this too as I think when the touch button doesn't work, I also get those 2 cursors and really weird behavior with the pen. So that bit has nothing to do with ZBrush either. Minus the zadd reversal.

Slight correction. It's not "fairly often" it's everytime.
