Cintiq 27 Display Toggle

Postby worldclock2017 » Wed 24. Apr 2019, 04:40

Greets

On Intuos, we can use the entire surface area to draw - or we can use only a smaller portion of the surface area by shrinking the 'tablet area' when in pen mode.

On the Cintiq 27, we can choose 'display toggle' and then use the Cintiq to draw while looking up at another monitor.

Problem is, the Cintiq 27 uses its entire surface area when in display toggle.

How we can use only a smaller portion of the Cintiq 27 surface area when in display toggle?

Hello.
In the display Toggle Tab, you should have an option regarding the Active Area.
You won't be able to make a selection like you do on Intuos, but you can select to "Use Inset Area". This will map a small area in the center of the Cintiq to allow you to navigate the second display easier.

thank-you, this works. I have the upper pen button set to "display toggle".

The problem now is that every time I turn on the Cintiq27, the tablet automatically goes into "display toggle" mode and pressing the pen button does not return the cursor to the Pen position - it gets permanently stuck in Display Toggle mode and the cursor is offset way to the right of where the cursor is. The only way to fix this is to stop "Wacom Professional Service" and then re-start it again.

But if Photoshop is open while you stop/start the service, it loses pressure sensitivity and I have to close Photoshop and re-open it again to re-gain pressure sensitivity.

How can I stop this display toggle problem from happening every time I turn on the Cintiq?
