Cintiq 27 qhd touch lock ups

Postby mark1up » Wed 1. Feb 2017, 17:22

Hi

I'm have real problems with the 27qhd touch locking up.Every time i use onscreen short cuts the screen will lock up,its so frustrating!!

Even sometimes without even touching the on screen controls.I will get a couple of circles constantly flashing on the screen like its being pressed with two fingers then i have to unplug the usb cable or reboot, its so annoying, please wacom help me out or if anyone else can help it would be appreciated.

I've tried all drivers,i'm on windows 10 and everything is upto date.

Thanks.

Hi.
I've been struggling with the same issue for a while since I updated to 6.3.20-5. I contacted WACOM support and they advised me to turn on 'ignore touch inout when i'm using my pen' option under devices/pen & windows ink. Its a problem with windows 10 palm rejection. If you run the WACOM diagnostics panel you can see that both finger 1 and finger 2 inputs "lock up" when there is multi-touch or pen and touch input. Turning this option on under devices didn't really solve it for me so i rolled back to 6.3.18 -3 which seems to be working fine.
I've just noticed there is a new driver released 6.3.20-7, which i haven't tried yet but will do so when i get a chance.
My advice would be to try this option under devices and maybe roll back a driver until you find one that works, until this issue of palm rejection gets fixed properly.
Hope this helps

Scott

Hi Scott,

Thanks so much for the reply and the tip...I've just tried it for an hour or so and no lock ups!!! But i have had periods before when it wouldn't lock up.
So i will restrain myself from a full on celebration just yet:)

Thanks again for the help as it was driving me nuts!

P.S Wacom...sort your drivers out for the love of god!!!

Cheers.

No problem. It certainly seems to be a general issue with Wacom drivers, and all you can really do is find a work around until you find something that works for you.
