Cintiq Pro 13 not detected, Driver NOT FOUND

Postby cintiqprouser » Mon 27. Feb 2017, 18:31

Hi.
( DISCLAIMER - I've seen the thread with the Cintiq 13HD not being detected, however the solution there did not work for me. )

I've purchased a Cintiq Pro 13 a week ago, and to date I haven't been able to use it.

The problem -
Wacom Desktop Center says - 'No Device Connected'
Wacom Tablet Properties says - 'THE TABLET DRIVER WAS NOT FOUND'
Wacom Display Settings says - No Wacom Displays
Windows says it has properly installed the drivers.
I can see the driver on the list of installed drivers and in Device Manager. No issues are shown.

The Cintiq works as a display.
Touch works. The Pen works. There is no Pen pressure ( in Photoshop or anywhere else ).
From the 'buttons' ( 4 touch buttons on top right ) only the on/off button works.
I can't configure the tablet in any way.

My configuration is
PC / Windows 7 ( 64 )
AMD Radeon R9
I connect the Cintiq with a display+USB-2

There had been a previous installation for an old Intuos2 on this computer.

What I have done so far
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest driver, the driver before that, a very old driver, the latest again.
I've removed all traces of WACOM software, even from the registry, then reinstalled the latest driver, restarted, and plugged the cintiq back.
I've tried to delete

Nothing changed.

In WDCLogFile.txt this is what I see
[1161843.303] [3792] [WDC] Attempting tablet data read - try #0
[1162936.668] [3792] [WDC] Attempting tablet data read - try #1
[1163946.652] [3792] [WDC] Attempting tablet data read - try #2
[1164956.619] [3792] [WDC] Attempting tablet data read - try #3
[1165968.640] [3792] [WDC] Attempting tablet data read - try #4
[1166979.584] [3792] [WDC] Oops - couldn't communicate with driver; coming up in no-driver mode...
[1166979.812] [3792] [WDC] Detected NO supported tablets.

Can you please advise? This is very frustrating.
Thanks in advace!

I've had a problem with the cintiq 13hd that was solved installing all of windows updates, non of the threads I found about fixing the issue wrote about windows updates. I would start with that maybe.

Hi. Good idea, but I already installed all the Windows updates while trying to figure this out.

The problem remained.

I've been playing with the driver versions as advised but still nothing.

The same issue all over again.

Funniest thing, it's working on a Mac. There I used a mini display port, not full size display like on the Win 7.

Also I've tried on the same Win7 machine without installing the driver whatsoever, and apart of the pen not being recognized... I got the exact same result as if I did install the driver...

So,
Win7, AMD Radeon R9 200 series
USB-A+large Display
'driver not found'

...

MacBook Pro,
USB-A+mini display
'OK'

Hello, I have a similar problem, I wanted to know if:
Did you solve the problem with your wacom cintiq pro 13?

I too have this exact problem and feel like I've tried everything now. Did anyone find the solution? (Many months later!)

After spending all night looking into this, I managed to get it to work.

For anyone else with the same problem, my fix ultimately came from deleting a file within program files.

After uninstalling the drivers I noticed there were still some Wacom files within:
Program files\Tablet\Wacom

There was another ‘remove’ file within there (possibly within a sub folder, I can’t recall now) that once I ran that and reinstalled the drivers, everything now works as it should. Messy!

Hope that helps someone else in the future.
