Screen not working with Windows 10

Almost every single time I turn off or put my computer into rest mode, my Cintiq 21UX spontaneously does not work as a screen anymore when I next turn it on. The hardware is fine – it works with my wife’s Win8 laptop without issue.

I have tried just about every “fix” I could find – removing preferences, un- and re-installing drivers, cleaning the registry, nothing works reliably. Sometimes, when I’m lucky, the display will eventually start working upon restarting my computer for the nth time. I’m beyond upset and frustrated, and at my wit’s end. I’m about to miss a deadline because I suppose it was naïve of me to believe that just because it was working fine 5 hours ago it would work this morning. Clearly I should have just stayed up all night in order not to risk it.

If there is anything anyone else has tried or found that could help with this, I would be immensely grateful.

Sorry to hear about this. If I understand correctly, the hardware is fine since you are able to use successfully with your wife's computer so we can assume the issue is in your computer. I'm not sure however of that the actual issue is? Do you not get an image, or do you not get the pen input to respond?

If the issue is only the image, please try a different video port. If you are using a video adaptor (for example DVI to HDmI), please try a different one.

Make your Operating System is fully up to date. Also, please manually check if there are any drivers available for your graphics card. Windows might say they are up to date but this is sometimes inaccurate.

The Wacom driver does not control the video signal input of the Cintiq so there is no benefit in re-installing the driver over and over.

On the other hand, if the issue is that the tablet itself is not detected and you cannot use the Pen, then we need to check the driver.

I understand you already reinstalled the drivers several times but please make sure you do so following these steps: https://www.wacom.com/en-de/support?guideId=010-373. Please confirm that you have installed the latest driver.

Also, please confirm if you seen any error message when you open the Wacom Tablet Properties. If you do, please let me know which message you get.
