Hi everyone.
I have a 27 "iMac (late 2013) with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M graphics card with 4GB on os Mojave.
A Dell 4k screen fully functional at 3840x2160x60hz is connected with Display Port to this iMac.
When I connect my Cintiq PRO 24 via display port (with the included Wacom cable), the maximum resolution reached is 2160x1440x60Hz.
How is it possibile?!?
I did two tests:
- By connecting my 4k TV to my iMac with display port to hdmi cable, the maximum resolution is obviously in real 4K, no scaled, nor interpolated.
- By connecting my Cintiq PRO 24 to my MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015) with Intel HD Graphics 6000 1.5GB graphics card, the maximum resolution is in 4K !!
I don't understand why connecting the Cintiq to my iMac I don't have 4k resolution and with the other device yes...
Please help me!!!
Thanks
G.

Cintiq PRO 24 - 4k problem on iMAC
Re: Cintiq PRO 24 - 4k problem on iMAC
according to apples specs here for your imac 4k is not supported. just up to a 30 inch display with max up to 2560x1600. Im not sure why these other things supposedly worked for you because the specs clearly shows it does not support 4k.

Re: Cintiq PRO 24 - 4k problem on iMAC
These other displays work in 4K, although the specs say more. Only with the PRO 24 I don't reach 4k resolution...
Re: Cintiq PRO 24 - 4k problem on iMAC
your imac specs says it does not support 4k. regardless if it "works" it is documented not supported by your display. wacom is not going to help you if apple themselves say it's not supported to run at that resolution.
Re: Cintiq PRO 24 - 4k problem on iMAC
From the little bit I read about that card, it won't support 4K at 60hz due to not being thunderbolt 2 connection, so that might be your problem. Sounds like you should be able to get 4K at 30hz but that wouldn't give you a lag free experience. Here's a thread that talks a bit about 4k on Cintiq pros but not specifically about your card.
