How can I connect my Cintiq Pro 24 to two computers alternately

Postby Sebjust » Sun 22. Sep 2019, 21:04

How can I connect my Cintiq Pro 24 to two computers alternately that have Displayport? Disconnecting one and connecting the second is not an option, I have to continually be under the tables. I reviewed the switch, everyone complains about them because they are slow and the speed is bad. Displayport splitters are questionable, as there is one main port (Output)), which is bifurcated 2 (input). According to the idea, I should have 2 (Output), which should be connected to 1 (input). I did not find this, and plus the splitters basically give 30 Hz to 4K and you need 60 Hz. Maybe someone has an idea how to solve this issue?
Thank you.
Sorry for my English.

Hi,

you can use the USB-C port (supporting at least DisplayPort 1.2) to connect the 1st computer and HDMI to connect the 2nd one. For 4K resolution on the Wacom Cintiq Pro, HDMI on your computer must support HDMI 2.0.

A more complete description of connection types you can find here:

To switch the input you can use the Touch Key on your Cintiq:

Hope that helps.

Ciao

Thank you very much. It is very helpful. One more question about USB port for pen work. If I connect to Cintiq 2 different computer's USB at the same time will my pen work properly on that computer which I will use at that moment?

I'm not sure how you want to connect the USB to two computers simultaneously. If you use the USB-C port for one computer and the standard USB port for the other, it will work.
