Cintiq 21UX slowly fading?

Postby Davemiles » Fri 10. Mar 2017, 15:18

Hello!

My question may seem to have an obvious answer but I'm just doing my best to investigate all angles.

My Cintiq 21UX is trusty and true. I've been using it for years and try to keep it calibrated for the work I do on it. The calibration software always tests for brightness and asks for the brightness to be adjusted to the correct level. I've noticed that I've needed to increase the brightness over the past few months and it's now maxed out and cannot be increased any more.

Is this a sign that my bulbs are fading? (I know... ask an obvious question...) What are my options?

How much does a bulb replacement cost?

Has anyone switched from the 21UX to the 22HD? Did you miss the height of the monitor (I noticed the 22HD screen is about the height of a sheet of paper).

Thanks for any feedback!
