Screen to sharp, cuts off edge, colors aren't in match with other Screens

Postby ShakingHands » Tue 15. Oct 2019, 01:27

(Windows 10, Wacom 22HD DTK-2200, becomes one year old next month. English isn't my native Tongue, I am sorry.)

So, today I finally noticed the colors of my Cintiq were wrong , first I thought it were my other screens who were wrong and tried to adjust them, but quickly I found out it was the other way around (All three other Screens + my Phone showed me than the truth). My Wacom was way to bright.

On the website of Wacom I found a "display setting" which appearantly should be in the "Wacom Desktop Center", which I cannot confirm to have the access to this feature. (Link: http://101.wacom.com/UserHelp/en/OSDSetColor.htm )

Now I hoped with the button on the upper right corner I could get a similar but it didn't worked either. Then I found the Windows Screen Color Calibration but that didn't helped either.

Okay, now my only hope was to deinstall all the drivers and reinstall them again, in the hope I would get the access to the feature as shown above.
But now everything broke?

Colors seem to be ok, but the Cintiq Screen sharpness everything, a simple stroke in Photoshop has ugly an ugly border, the wallpaper itself looks like someone messed up big with the sharpening-filter of Photoshop and when I open anything in fullscreen it is much bigger then it should be, only showing the "underscore", not anymore the square or even the x on the upper right corner.

I am out of any wits, google doesn't help, wacom faq page doesn't help and I have deadlines I need to work with...

- Maybe it is something absolutely easy and thats why Google doesn't give the answer. Anyway, I need your help, please...

Hi.

To clarify the Cintiq 22HD (DTK-2200) has a build in menu for display settings - see here. It does not use the Wacom Display Settings from the Wacom Desktop Center.

Now, the issue you describe seems to be a resolution / scaling setting which is controlled by Windows. You will need to check the Display Settings by right clicking in the desktop:

Additionally, if you haven't already, update the drivers for your Graphics Card.

Edit: Update

I am the biggest idiot ever, once I had to use an adapter because the cable of the Cintiq was to short for my setting...
it was the adapter. Now direct on my PC the screen works fine.

Yet my statement stays, thank so much for your reply, I absolutely appreciate user who take their time for finding a solution, despite remote diagnose / telediagnosis is something horrible!
I wish you a very nice week!!
