Cintiq 22HD/22HDT - Pen not properly recognized after USB Disconnect/Reconnect

Platform: MacOS
OS Version: MacOS Sierra through MacOS Mojave
Computer Hardware: Thunderbolt 3 MacBook Pros (2016-2018 Models)
Wacom Hardware: Cintiq 22HD and Cintiq 22HDT
Wacom Driver Version: 6.3.37-2 through 6.3.31

Issue:

When a Cintiq's USB connection is disconnected from a MacBook Pro, reconnected, and the Pen is placed anywhere on the Cintiq screen, the cursor appears on the laptop screen instead of the Cintiq. From this point, the cursor will not appear on the Cintiq screen until the Macbook Pro is rebooted.

Currently, all four of my artists using the 22HD/T are having this problem.. It is not uncommon throughout the course of a work day for the artists to take their laptops to a meeting, therefore necessitating a disconnect.

Has anyone else encountered this problem before?
