Cintiq pro 16 - cutting strokes

Postby sararodr » Sat 4. Apr 2020, 18:55

Hello, for some time I've been having an annoying issue with my cintiq pro 16.

At times when I make a stroke it will not detect pressure and cut said stroke in smaller segments, leaving blank spaces in the middle.
It started randomly at small periods of time but gradually it has becomed more common and its driving me insane to the point I can barely draw a line.

It is not a PC problem, as I have connected it to 3 different PCs, 2 windows 10 and 1 mac OS and it has happened in all of them. All are up to date with drivers.

What should I do?

I have a set of videos to illustrate how it is cutting 1 single long stroke:

Hi,
Does the eraser end of the pen do the same behavior? From the videos it looks that you have a defective pen so you should contact Customer Support.

I have just tried it and can confirm it does not happen with the eraser.
I had not thought of trying that before!

I have a better video showing the drivers output (with a new nib, not the eraser):

Then you pen is defective. You'll need a replacement. Contact our support if you are still in the warranty period.
