Wacom One, No display, Pen working

Postby Weylenn » Sun 12. Apr 2020, 08:47

Hey all.

SYS: Win10 Pro 64 bit
HARDWARE: i7 6700 - Z170 OC Formula - 16GB RAM - 2070 Super

My boyfriend just got the Wacom One from Bestbuy today. He plugged it in and set it up appropriately, updated all of his drivers to the latest, but the display does not work. The pen and pressure sensitivity DO work however. It's basically an Intuos Medium with a downgraded pen at this point.

No amount of driver reinstalls, unplugs and re-plugs, restarts, logging in and out of Windows has fixed this.
Windows won't see the display, the wacom driver doesn't see the display. But the wacom driver still sees the pen input (it can be configured and stuff etc). He has tried different USB slots. It is plugged into USB 3.0. Still doesn't work.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Solutions? Please help ):

Is the HDMI cable plugged in correctly? The video signal needs to be transmitted to the Wacom One through the HDMI cable. If you don't have a video signal, either the cable is not plugged in properly, or the cable is defective. Please check this video: https://www.wacom.com/en-de/support?guideId=150-461

The Wacom driver has nothing to do with the video signal so forget about that for now. From what you described this is working just fine.

Good morning, same problem here.

All the cables are properly connected, downloaded the latest windows10 drivers, but when I switch the Wacom ONE on appears a black screen with the message 'No Signal'.

Pen works fine...If it's a HDMI cable issue/problem how can I solve? Had to buy another x-cable?

Thank you

G.

Wacom One : No Display Signal

Postby diegosanmiguel » Sat 16. May 2020, 05:42

I recently purchased a Wacom One (DTC133) to use with my Win10 laptop, which comes with the standard x-shape cable. The pen is working without issue, but I've tried the following troubleshooting steps to get the display to work, to no avail:
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Wacom drivers
  • Downgraded to an older Wacom driver
  • Reinstalled GPU drivers
  • Checked cable connections (a lot)
  • Updated Visual C runtime

Tablet will turn on an give the following error: Information | No signal | Go to Power saving mode

Does anyone have experience with similar issues or have suggestions to troubleshoot? I did follow some troubleshooting steps provided for the Cintiq, but information on the One is limited. Nothing has worked thus far. Worth noting that I also tested my HDMI port with my television and the signal was recognized without any issue. Doesn't seem to be a port issue.

Hi,
Can you try connecting the Wacom One to a different computer? Most likely the issue is the X-cable but it would be good to be sure.

On a side note, the Video connection (HDMI) has nothing to do with the USB connection or the Wacom Driver. The Cintiq will behave like any other external monitor in this regard. The USB connection and the driver only manage the Pen input.

My only other computer is a Macbook w/o an HDMI port. (unable to test)

I read that some users were able to resolve issues with the HDMI plug on the x-cable by using a splitter. Not sure I want to go that route, but is there anything else I can test? Should I be requesting a replacement cable directly through Wacom?

That is certainly an option. You should check with them further.

Solution: The x-cable will not display video if it is right-facing when plugged into the tablet, but the pen will still work. For video, it needs to be left-facing.

Didn't even think you would be able to plug the X-cable that far to have a USB signal. The cable should only be plugged with the cable facing the left.
