Impossible to get 4K - Cintiq Pro 24

Postby derthun » Wed 1. Jul 2020, 11:46

Hi.

First, sorry for my bad English.

I ask from my ignorance, I have the Cintiq Pro 24 and I cannot get it to 4K. When you turn it on, in the window that comes out on the top right it says HDMI 3840x2160x60hz. But in the display settings, when changing the resolution, the maximum I can select is 3360x1890.

I have a Mac with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB graphics card. I have tried for HDMI and Display Port and nothing. I have a USB 3.0 panel, since the computer had USB 2.0 ports and the graphics card does not have a USB port. If I connect it to USB 3.0 I have 3360x1890 resolution. If I connect it to 2.0, logically I have less.

For the avoidance of doubt, it may be that I cannot get 4K because the USB port is not integrated into the graphics card, or should it not be a problem?

With a USB C to USB A adapter, would I achieve something?

Hi,
USB connection has no influence in the video resolution. Video resolution depends on the output signal from you computer, and the resolution supported by the display.
Your graphics card needs to support HDMI 2.0 to get 4k.
Standard DisplayPort should get you 4k as well.
Please review your cables and connection and check with the support team if the issue persists.

Thanks for the reply.

My graphic card support HDMI 2.0.

For a few minutes I solved the problem by putting the monitor and the Cintiq as "Duplicate Screens" in the settings. So if it came out 3840x2160, and a few more resolutions. Until I put the 2 back on "Extended Screens" and rebooted, then everything went back to the way it was before.

I will contact the support team.

Thanks.

It stinks you have to buy the stand separate.
