FIXED: Another Apple update broke my Cintiq

Postby ScotSolida » Mon 19. Dec 2016, 15:21

Ouch. Today, I was notified of an update to Sierra and Pro Video Formats. Guess what? Now my Touch functions are no longer working properly. I only just had them working again after Wacom's most recent driver update. This is ridiculous. Now, touching the Cintiq (27 QHD) results in my cursor jumping to the upper-right corner of the Cintiq or sometimes the upper-left corner of my other monitor and then the cursor won't move until I move it with my mouse. I am clearly going to have to roll back to Yosemite. I haven't had a usable Cintiq since then.

This is now working again. See below.

I tried reinstalling the latest Cintiq drivers and now my Cintiq is back to the bad old behavior in which the cursor responds with Touch, but on the wrong display. I am becoming entirely fed up.

I got the 27 QHD working again. It was necessary to use the Wacom Software Utility to totally remove the old drivers and software, then I restarted the computer. After that, I reinstalled the software and restarted yet again and then fired up my Cintiq. The cursor now responds to Touch on the Cintiq itself, rather than the other monitor. Yeesh. I hope this is something that needs to be done after every Apple update. I sold my Cintiq Companion because I disliked working with Windows 8 (among other reasons), but now I am thinking it might not be a bad idea to re-investigate Windows. (I never thought I would think that)
