Problems setting up Cintiq 16 with Mac

Postby WackSintee » Mon 23. Nov 2020, 20:17

I have a Cintiq 16 which I've used with my Windows computer fine, however I've begun trying to use it on my older Mac. In doing so, I've encountered some issues. First off, the Cintiq is meant to attach via HDMI, but my Mac does not have an HDMI port so I've had to use an adapter for it to instead work in the Mini DisplayPort, so just keep that in mind in case it may be affecting things.

The computer is an iMac running the Yosemite OS version 10.10.4, which I've downloaded and installed several drivers for (though I can't find them again on the Wacom website), they have not worked. The tablet screen is getting the signal and is displaying the desktop background, however the task bar is greyed out and the stylus is not having any effect. Checking the drivers I installed, they just say that "A supported tablet was not found on the system". I am not sure wether the problem is with the drivers, the cables I'm using, or something else; any help would be appreciated as I've been trying to get this to work for a couple weeks now.

Mac OSX 10.10 is not supported since 2015. You'll need 10.12 or above to be able to install a compatible driver with Cintiq 16.
