Cintiq 16 inch - Tablet Mode and Easy Display Toggle

Postby mitchfx » Sat 5. Dec 2020, 15:47

I've been using an older 21" Cintiq at home for years and just upgraded my main displays to dual 27 inch monitors. Needless to say I won't have enough desk space for all 3 screens and was looking for something a little more compact but still keeping the pen display feature I've grown to love. The newer 16 inch Cintiq (Non Pro) is an attractive option but from what I've read there's no easy way to toggle what display the pen is mapped to without dedicating one of the two side buttons on the stylus. I've read multiple threads on different forums and from what I can tell there is no way to map the Toggle Display command to the eraser nor ability to evoke the Radial Menu via a keyboard shortcut. The only solutions I can think of right now is to upgrade to the 3D Pen and use the extra button for this function or purchase the ExpressKey Remote (which seems like overkill).

I've also been trying to find out if there's a way to disable the display on the Cintiq 16 and have it operate like a normal tablet when I'm not drawing. I have used the Pro 16 before at work years ago and really didn't like many aspects of it, so that's not an option even if I was willing to pay that kind of money. Thanks in advance for any advice!
