Cintiq 24 pro needs to be turned on twice before the display shows screen

Postby JanneT » Thu 12. Aug 2021, 07:54

Hi,
I have a one-year-old Wacom Cintiq 24 Pro screen. For some reason, in the last few days I have had a problem with the screen not receiving a signal from the computer and it goes into Power Safe mode before I turn my Cintiq off and restart it. This happens only when I turn my computer and the screen on, not when I'm using them. The operating system is Windows 10 and the cable connection is the Cintiq's own HDMI without any adapters . Drivers are up to date. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on or how to start find the reason?

Hi,
Sounds like the handshake between your PC and your Cintiq is not working immediately on boot. Make sure the input you have selected for the Cintiq is HDMI.
Also, please install all the necessary updates on your computer including Gfx card drivers, etc.
If the issue persists, please cross check the HDMI cable with another one.

Hi and thank you for your reply,
Yes, the input has been selected HDMI and all the drivers seem to be up to date. I also tested with another HDMI, but it didn't help either. Last time even turning Wacom off and on again didn't help, neither did shutting down the computer, but after restart the screen started working again...

Same 'No Signal' on first start up.
Plus no device connected since Feb 2021. Sigh.
