[Finally!] Mac 10.12.4 + driver 6.3.22-3 = Works

Postby konjyouki » Sat 27. May 2017, 02:35

Last post I mention that driver 6.3.21-11 works fine for me but turns out the sticky keys problem comes back after 2 weeks or so of using.
Now the new driver update fixes everything including the sticky modifier keys and so I could use my Cintiq again with zero problem.
Again, I won't guarantee that the new driver will works for everyone but it does in my case.

So here's what I'm using:
- MacBook Pro Retina (early 2015) using Sierra ver 10.12.4 (I don't update it to the new 10.12.5 and I strongly suggest you to do so too)
- Cintiq 13HD (DTK-1301) *1301 is the newer production code, nothing different from 1300
- Driver 6.3.22-3 (specifically wanted to thanks Wacom for this new driver)

Programs that I've test using and works fine:
- Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.5
- Adobe Illustrator CC 2015.3
- Adobe InDesign CC 2015.4
- Final Cut Pro X ver 10.2.1
- Motion ver 5.3.2
- AutoCAD 2017
- DAZ 3D

Hope it works for you too!

My very first post was me using Sierra ver 10.12.2 + driver 6.3.19-6 and they were simply the best combination. Literally had zero problems using it for months until my Mac was accidentally updated to 10.12.4. Before anyone pointed out, this Mac was my very first Mac and back then I didn't know that it'll automatically updated if you didn't opted out for it. I thought it was like Win that has to be manually updated.

So ever since 10.12.4, I can't find any other driver (newest nor older) that works 100% perfectly like the 10.2.2 + 6.3.19-6 combination. I don't want to update mine to 10.12.5 simply because I'm afraid I'll repeat the same mistake and I swear I'll flip the heck out of my Cintiq if it can't be used again because of the sticky keys or any other problems.

The one that I've tested here were for 10.12.4 so I can't guarantee that driver 6.3.22-3 will work for Sierra newest version 10.12.5
*If someone has tested the new driver for 10.12.5 (for at least 2 weeks of daily use) then please, by all means, comments here.

Driver 6.3.22-3 Does NOT solve the stick key issue with Sierra 10.12.5.

I posted this in another thread but here it is again...

The latest 6.3.22-3 for OSX release still DOES NOT address the sticky modifier key issue. While it doesn't occur quite as often the following still applies.

I have the option key assigned to one of the pen buttons for both Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop in order to toggle the eye dropper tool. I also have the CMD and OPTION button assigned to the other Pen button for Corel Painter and CTRL and OPTION assigned in Adobe Photoshop. This is in order for me to change the brush size in both programs. All of the above constantly "Sticks" after pressing either of the pens buttons. While it might not stick EVERY time, I estimate that they stick 8 out of 10 times. Mac Pro. 27QHD Touch Cintiq. Sierra 10.12.5. I do have an Apple wireless magic mouse connected as well. Tried changing settings in accessibility preferences too with no effect.

I am also finding that there is an issue with painting straight lines in Corel Painter using the straight line stroke. Holding shift down in order to constrain the marks either perfectly vertical or horizontal doesn't work properly for shorter strokes. Anyone experience this as well?

Is this related to the wavy line issue?

Then it is confirmed that driver 6.3.22-3 only works for Sierra ver 10.12.4
