Should I buy a refurbished Cintiq?

Postby khaiky5 » Sun 18. Jun 2017, 22:57

I'm getting a 27QHD from a U.S. store called B&H Photo and Video for $1899, which is $400 cheaper than new. It comes with a 2 year warranty. Should I expect it to be just like new? Or am I taking a bigger risk of defect?

For what it's worth, i bought a new one from BH last week and mine has a horrible light bleed on it (see post titled "Light Bleed on Cintiq 27qhd " a couple posts down). I emailed Wacom and they never bothered getting back to me. I think I'm going to ship mine back to B&H for an exchange.
So to be honest I wish I had bought it refurbished since buying it "new" doesn't seem to guarantee any sort of quality anyway. Might as well save the $400.

Haven't thought about it like that. I guess there's always a risk with these things.
