Solution of Red-tint screen on Cintiq Pro 16

Postby yanhanlee » Tue 27. Jun 2017, 14:14

I just found a solution to solve the Red-tint screen on Cintiq Pro 16.
If you have the red tint screen on your cintiq Pro 16 when connecting to Mac, you can do this every time when it occurs:

- update the firmware first
- when screen is reddish, open setting go to display
- find "night shift" in the display setting
- make sure the night shift is OFF, and without touching anything else, just slide the screen temperature slider
- screen will become normal after that
- make the slider back to original place, and done.

NOTE:
this not solves the problem forever, which means whenever the red-tint screen happened, you have to do it manually, almost every time... but at least, there is a easy way....

Wish this is helpful

Yes, this solved this for me. what I did was turn it on and off several times (when I checked the first time it was off, so I don't know why the cintiq was detecting as if it was on) *WITH THE CINTIQ ON* . Every time you restart -or wake up from sleep - you have to do this.
I wish Wacom would do something about it. because it is a driver conflict and for me as I see it is something wacom has to solve to block that from the mac.
Still, I had to tweak the color manually and I'm looking forward to buy a colorimeter because color is CRUCIAL FOR ME. Here I leave a link providing others with what I did.
I wish wacom would address this!!! I am angry!
