should I get my Cintiq 22hd an external fan? worried about heat level

Postby spadesart » Wed 12. Jul 2017, 18:13

My cintiq 22hd gets quite warm while I use it and it gets very uncomfortable after a while and I'll have to turn it off to let it cool down for a bit. It doesn't seem to have internal fans which has me worried about heat damage (it sometimes creaks while heating up and cooling down) so I'm considering the possibility of an external fan? The area on the back that gets the hottest is at the top while the actual screen has most of the heat at the bottom. I found a small fan on amazon that can clip to surfaces and works via usb so I'm considering getting that to clip to the tablet to blow into the top back vents that get the hottest. Is this a dumb idea or would it have some effect?
