Cintiq 13HD color didn't match with MacBook Pro Retina

Postby konjyouki » Fri 11. Aug 2017, 05:05

I didn't know what color profile to pick under the display! I tried every profile there is but it doesn't even come close to what the Mac shows. I never tried the 'calibrate' option because I'm too scared I'll f-ed up the display color.

I'd thought bcs the default for the Mac is 'Color LCD' so I pick 'Color LCD' too for my Cintiq but the color still didn't match from what I saw on the Mac screen and the Cintiq screen. Neither any display profile.

It's infuriating because when I paint on my Cintiq, I thought the final palette was good enough but then when I preview it on the Mac screen, damn.. the colors looks awful! Is it because the Mac is retina display so it shows differently from Cintiq?

Q: How can I match the color between the Cintiq screen and Mac screen? What display profile should I choose?
