"Add tap to click" not reliable

Postby CarstenF » Wed 13. Sep 2017, 08:02

Hi all,

I used to use "Add tap to click" with my Intuous PT M, CTH-690 for years, and adding the tap always worked reliably.
OS is Windows 10.

Recently, however, I experienced problems with loading the Wacom driver at system start: Without me having made any changes that I see only remotely related, I got reports that the driver could not be loaded. Besides that, all custom settings were lost.
So I downloaded and installed the latest driver 6.3.24-2.

The tablet generally works well now and as before, but the "add tap to click" gesture is now as unreliable that it is quasi useless: Adding a tap works only about every fifth try.

I tried this in "Tablet Settings > Touch-Options > Info > Diagnose...".
There, the second finger is indicated as expected as long as I have the mouse over the dialog's free space in the lower right below the x/y axis information.

Paradoxically, the second finger is no longer recognized as soon as the mouse cursor gets near the dialog's "Close" button!
There, it has the effect as described above: Only roughly every fifth attempt works.

What can I do?

Many thanks and best regards,
Carsten
