I have added the registry entry as suggested, restarted the computer and the problem with the scroll is still not fixed.

reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pen /v LegacyPenInteractionModel /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

the pointer is stuck instead of moving while pressing pen click button to do the scroll.

This is driving me mad as it affect all the software I'm using. it's like someone changed your mouse to work upside down and now you need to get used to the new functionality.

any other suggestions?

When you press the pen button for scrolling, the pen should remain at the current place and the document should scroll with variable speed when moving the pentip up or down. This variable scrolling is a new driver function. You can install still use the 'pan/scroll' setting or scroll with the pentip without pressing a button.
