Hurricane Florence Alert:
A rather large hurricane is set to hit the East Coast of the United States at the end of this week. Because of its size and threat to life & property there have already been significant evacuations in the areas expected to be hit worst. Hopefully things do not turn out as bad, but we will probably see shipping delays to and from that area (our North America distribution center is in Memphis, TN, close to the area).
If you are in the US region and you order something during this period, please see check https://www.ups.com/us/en/service-alerts.page?id=alert1 for possible alerts.

Wacom drivers interfere with launching other programs.

Postby NikitaS » Sun 1. Oct 2017, 10:16

Wacom drivers interfere with launching other programs.

I faced the problem when many programs failed to launch on my computer.
When I double click to launch nothing happens with the following programs: OneDrive, VLC Media Player, Telegram, XnViewMP and others.

My system: Windows 10 (64) with all most recent updates
Tablet: Intuos Pro M (PTH-651)
Tablet driver: 6.3.24-5

However, all with parameters are irrelevant because I use to have the very same problem with my previous computer and Cintiq 22.

In the System Log windows I found that the interfering module is: Wacom_Tablet.dll

What did I do:
1. Updated tablet drivers (programs did not work)
2. Reinstalled the drivers (didn’t help either)
3. Formatted hard drives and installed new OS (didn’t work)
4. Deleted all Wacom drivers (programs started working again!)
5. Installed Wacom drivers back (programs stopped working)

Unfortunately, deleting Wacom drivers is not an option for me, because I am an illustrator.

Thanks for any help guys.
