Hi,
I just bought an Intuos art, but are having trouble with the pen. It is wildly inaccurate, and jumps around, and also lags. When I lift it from the pad, it keeps drawing. Sometimes it works fine for maybe 30-60 seconds, and then I just love it, but shortly after it lags and jumps around again.
I have changed the tips, and had the tips out for 24 hours (solution proposed when I Googled the problem). However, it still is a problem.
I would be grateful for any input, thanks!

Intuos art problem with pen
Re: Intuos art problem with pen
Open tablet properties and check pen pressure. If there is proessure when the pen is not touching the tablet, the pen is not ok and needs to be exchanged.
Re: Intuos art problem with pen
The pen itself is probably defective. This is what happened after my $100 intuos4 Art pen malfunctioned. The replacement worked just fine.
Re: Intuos art problem with pen
Thanks!
I just checked it; it is not noticing pressure unless I press it down. But I tested it by drawing a vertical line down the middle on the screen, and then drawing towards this line, lifting the pen when reaching the line. Most times the line kept going, beyond the paper actually. It does not register when I lift it from the pad. I cannot stop at line when I want to.
I cannot see a way to attach a photo/ file to this post, else I could show you what I mean :)

Re: Intuos art problem with pen
If not done already pull out the nib, wipe it clean and push it back in, seems the nib gets stuck. Check also with the eraser end. - If that is fine, the pentip has a problem and the pen should be exchanged. If it is in warranty still, contact our customer support for that.
Re: Intuos art problem with pen
Thank you all!! I am VERY happy to hear that you think it is a pen problem, as I really want to love my Wacom :)
I have replaced the nibs several times, and left it without nib for 24 hours too. It still does this. I have contacted Wacom and cross my fingers for a replacement; it is really expensive to buy a new pen. I only had the Wacom for a few day, so warranty still on :)
