Wacom One CTL-672 - cannot install drivers

Postby andybee » Sun 17. Dec 2017, 10:17

Last week I've bought Wacom One CTL-672 and I've been struggling to make it work ever since. I've tried every possible solution I could find and none of it worked. Evey time I try to install the drivers I get the "0x00007b application not able to start properly" error. I run WIndows 7 SP1,my old tablet worked fine. I've tried installing older drivers from the Wacom page, they work, but my new tablet is not supported. I'm stumped. I've lost so much time trying to figure this out, uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting, doing every thing that I thought might fix it. I have work to do and can't because I can't use my tablet. Should I return it or is there still hope? What should I do?

The errro usually happens when some Windows file is missing. Make sure, your Windows installation is fully updated and you have .Net 4.x and the VCredist runtime installed. Then download and install the driver again. - You may have to run the installer 'as administator'. If it still fails, you may want to have a look into c:\Program Files\Tablet\Wacom\install.log or send that file to our technical support. That should help to see, which part of the installation fails.
