Power Surge on the USB Port CTH-470 [RESOLVED]

Postby SkyeArte » Sun 24. Dec 2017, 19:53

I'm having trouble connecting my device to my laptop running windows 10. The tablet has been used for two years and has previously connected just fine to this and other computers. Whenever I try to plug in the USB, even just the chord itself, it comes up with an error message and won't connect.

The errors only happened after about a month without use. I've even been able to use it for a short amount of time recently (5 minutes today) before getting the message again. There are some minute physical issues, but from being able to connect for a short while, I don't think that's the issue.

I've restarted the laptop, reset the ports, and uninstalled/reinstalled the usb drivers and it still either comes up with the error message or doesn't do anything. I can't find any forums about this issue that are answered.

The message could be result of a bad cable with a shortcut. I would try to use another cable. And check if there might be something burnt.
