Wacom pen click and drag unresponsiveness in Photoshop

Postby Zorigami » Mon 7. May 2018, 18:31

I use a Wacom Intuos drawing tablet for digital art and graphic design. It's currently working normally in any program outside of photoshop. (Illustrator, etc...)

Starting yesterday however, when in photoshop, there's an odd delay when doing anything in the program using the tablet pen. Whether it's a brush, the selection tool, or anything else, when I click and drag it doesn't show anything for about 40px or so, and then jumps to catch up after that point. It doesn't make a difference how fast or slow I draw, and it applies to selecting text as well. The stroke shows up after lifting the pen, but it makes fine movement and painting incredibly frustrating.

I've got a project on hold because of this, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

(I use Lazy Nezumi pro, but this happens both with and without it open. I'm not sure if there's something else I need to disable.)

Make sure you have minimized the doubleclick distance setting in the driver. If you are using Win10, we recommend updating to the Spring Update (1803), which resolves some issues affecting the use of a pen in Photoshop and other programs.
